WADA promotes the Spontaneous Applicant Pool for Expert Advisory Groups

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) wishes to remind the global anti-doping community that experts interested in joining the Agency’s Expert Advisory Groups (EAGs) may submit applications to the Spontaneous Applicant Pool at any time throughout the year.
WADA’s EAGs provide ongoing technical advice and special expertise to its Standing Committees and Management Team. The following EAGs are currently in place:
- Ethics
- Gene and Cell Doping
- Laboratory
- Legal
- National Anti-Doping Organizations*
- Prohibited List
- Social Science Research
- Strategic Testing
- Therapeutic Use Exemption
*Subject to a different membership process involving an election.
Please note that applications to the Spontaneous Applicant Pool are not for specific vacancies on the EAGs; rather, they are for consideration for future opportunities. Applications held on file are reviewed annually and considered in line with any upcoming EAG vacancies for the next year.
The Spontaneous Applicant Pool may also be referenced for the formation of Working Groups (WGs), which WADA develops on an as-needed basis.
Please note that applicants will only be contacted in the event that they are being considered for an EAG (or WG) for which their expertise is sought.
How to submit applications
To be considered, applicants are kindly requested to submit the following:
- A completed Spontaneous Application Form;
- A written Expression of Interest (cover/presentation letter) clearly referencing the EAG (or WG) for which their expertise is applicable; and
- An updated Curriculum Vitae(1), fully outlining the applicant’s experience and expertise(2), and which includes two reference contacts.
All of the above required information should be sent to ExpertGroup_Application@wada-ama.org. Please note that incomplete applications will not be retained.
