The Athletes’ Anti-Doping Rights Act was developed by WADA’s Athlete Committee in consultation with thousands of athletes and stakeholders worldwide. The Act, which is based on the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code (Code) and Standards, aims to ensure that athlete rights within anti-doping are clearly set out, accessible, and universally applicable.
This Act is made up of two parts:
- Rights that are found in the Code and International Standards.
- Recommended athlete rights. These are rights that athletes recommend anti-doping organizations adopt for best practice but are not found in the Code or International Standards.
You can view the Athletes’ Anti-Doping Rights Act as a standalone document or within the 2021 Code.
