WADA removes Cameroon NADO from Code non-compliant list

Following a circulatory vote of its Executive Committee (ExCo), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has removed, with immediate effect, the Organisation Camerounaise de Lutte contre le Dopage dans le Sport (Cameroon National Anti-Doping Organization [NADO]) from the list of Signatories that are non-compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code (Code).
The Cameroon NADO was found non-compliant for failing to address non-conformities in its anti-doping program as identified through the Code Compliance Questionnaire (CCQ) exercise.
On 12 July 2024, WADA sent the Cameroon NADO a formal notice of non-compliance. This non-compliance became effective on 5 August 2024 after the Cameroon NADO chose not to challenge the allegation as it could have done in accordance with Article 9.3.1 of the International Standard for Code Compliance by Signatories (ISCCS).
On 22 July 2025, the Cameroon NADO provided relevant information and documentation demonstrating that the non-conformities had been completed. Subsequently, on 27 July 2025, WADA’s Compliance Review Committee (CRC) agreed with WADA Management that the Cameroon NADO had successfully fulfilled the conditions for reinstatement. Therefore, in line with Article 11.3.3 of the ISCCS, the CRC recommended to the ExCo that the Cameroon NADO be reinstated and removed from the list of non-compliant Signatories.
Non-compliant Code Signatories
There are currently three non-compliant Code Signatories; namely, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency, the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation and the International Federation of Basque Pelota.
