WADA President Sir Craig Reedie statement on the CAS Veronica Campbell-Brown decision

WADA was very interested to receive the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s notification of the decision in the case of Veronica Campbell-Brown.

Although we have to await the full reasoned decision before commenting specifically, it would appear that it was based on a crucial error in the doping control process.

WADA therefore takes this opportunity to remind all Anti-Doping Organizations to apply the rules fully as set out in the International Standards for Testing. It is essential that all athletes can rely upon the testing protocols, and that mistakes are not made in the sample collection process.
