The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to share a video of the press conference that its Independent Commission (IC) held today in Munich, Germany.
During the Press Conference, the IC Chair, Mr. Richard Pound, presented the findings contained within Part 2 of the IC’s Report concerning allegations of widespread doping in international athletics. Specifically, the IC addressed allegations raised in the documentary titled ‘Doping – Top Secret: The Shadowy World of Athletics’, which alleged that ARD and The Sunday Times had obtained a leaked database, belonging to the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), containing more than 12,000 blood tests from around 5,000 athletes in the years 2001 to 2012. The Report also includes the IC’s findings on conduct of a criminal nature that was contrary to the World Anti-Doping Code.
