WADA releases video summarizing anti-doping research literature review

Agency extends deadline to 16 July 2017 for 2018 Social Science Research Grant Program

Today, WADA is pleased to share a short video, that’s production was commissioned by the Agency, which is based on a research project conducted by Professor Susan Backhouse and her research team at Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom (UK). 

The animated video extracts the most relevant points for anti-doping organizations from the research project’s 263 page report, which reviewed anti-doping literature between 2005 and 2015. It highlights the key ‘pressure points’ that anti-doping practitioners need to be aware of when developing education programs as well as the potential policy implications.

On the topic of social science research, WADA would also like to remind stakeholders that, on 11 April 2017, the Agency issued an open call for proposals for its 2018 Social Science Research Grant Program.  Researchers are asked to submit proposals by no later than 16 July 2017 (23:59 GMT).
