WADA Adds 24th Language to Play True Quiz

With the latest addition of Turkish, WADA’s Play True Quiz is now available in 24 languages.

The Play True Quiz was developed as the core element of WADA’s Athlete Outreach activities helping the sporting community gain a greater understanding about the anti-doping issue.

“We believe WADA’s Play True Quiz is one of the most important tools and opportunities for athletes from different countries around the world to test their knowledge and gain valuable information about anti-doping,” said Togay Bayatli, President of the Turkish National Olympic Committee. “Having the Quiz in Turkish, a language spoken by 100 million people worldwide, is a great opportunity to raise greater awareness.”
 
“Providing core anti-doping information is one of WADA’s key responsibilities and we are always pleased to partner with stakeholders to ensure that this information can be translated and taken to a global audience,” said WADA’s Director General David Howman.
 
The Play True Quiz will be used during the Volvo Youth Sailing World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, from July 10, 2010 when the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and members of the Turkish National Olympic Committee Medical and Anti-Doping Commission will present the Athlete Outreach Model.
