Message from WADA President John Fahey on USADA anti-doping proceedings:

WADA has been advised of the conspiracy charges laid by  the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) against six people formerly involved with cycling teams from the USA.

These matters are within the jurisdiction of USADA and relate to the anti-doping rules of the International Cycling Union (UCI) and USADA, and are compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code.

WADA has every confidence that USADA will follow it process in the professional and impartial manner that is in keeping with its status as one of the leading anti-doping agencies worldwide.

In accordance with its mandate under the Code, WADA will not comment on the details or alleged fact as set out in the charges as they remain the province of the relevant tribunal.

However, WADA will monitor the process and await its outcome.
