Athlete interaction and feedback is a top priority for WADA.
WADA’s Athlete Committee was established in 2005 to represent the views and rights of athletes worldwide, while providing insight and oversight into athletes’ roles and responsibilities as it relates to anti-doping. Its Members have a key role in helping WADA understand the challenges vulnerable athletes face and how WADA can best lead in developing strategies to not only detect, but also deter and prevent it.
Chaired by Canadian cross-country skier Beckie Scott, the committee is comprised of world class athlete leaders. Members assist in raising awareness about anti-doping and the promotion of the Play True message, as well as actively liaising with and providing feedback to government, regional and national leaders about anti-doping initiatives.
If you have a question regarding WADA’s Athlete Committee, please send your inquiry to Stacy Spletzer-Jegen, WADA’s Senior Manager, Athlete Relations & Communications.

I'm excited about being part of the WADA Athlete Committee, whose main objective is to keep sport clean. As a current professional athlete, sport provides many unique moments in life. Let us make sure these special moments can be achieved by talented, honourable and clean athletes who make a huge sacrifice to their sport and in turn offer inspiration to all as role models in society.

I am sure that many things and characteristics that I learned in sport literally saved my life when I was diagnosed with cancer and had to fight my way back. Sport should be inspiring in every single way and not compromised with doping affairs. That is why I wanted to join WADA and help to fight for the best of sport.

I am inspired to fight doping in sport because I believe in fair play. Every sportsperson should be able to look across the start line or face her opponent before a match and have the peace of mind that nothing other than natural athletic abilities and mental focus separates her from any competitor.
