WADA withdraws notice of non-compliance sent to the Comité National Lutte Antidopage de Côte d'Ivoire

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) confirms that the Comité National Lutte Antidopage de Côte d'Ivoire (Côte d'Ivoire NADO) has successfully addressed its outstanding non-conformities with the World Anti-Doping Code (Code) and has therefore withdrawn the formal notice alleging non-compliance.

The Côte d'Ivoire NADO was added to the compliance ‘watchlist’ at the Executive Committee (ExCo) meeting of 11 September 2025, following the ExCo’s endorsement of the recommendation of WADA’s independent Compliance Review Committee (CRC). As per the International Standard for Code Compliance by Signatories (ISCCS), this gave the Côte d'Ivoire NADO four additional months to correct the pending critical non-conformities.   

At the end of the ‘watchlist’ period (11 January 2026), these issues were still unresolved. Therefore, as per Article 8.4.5 of the ISCCS, on 12 January 2026, WADA sent the Côte d'Ivoire NADO a formal notice alleging non-compliance. As per Articles 9.3.1 and 9.3.1.1 of the ISCCS the Côte d'Ivoire NADO thus had 21 days to dispute the allegation or assert that the non-compliance has been corrected in full. 

Before the expiration of the 21 days following receipt of the formal notice, the Côte d'Ivoire NADO took the required action and subsequently provided the relevant updates to WADA. Therefore, in line with Article 9.3.1.1 of the ISCCS, the CRC reviewed these updates, concluded that the critical corrective actions had now been corrected in full and subsequently recommended to the ExCo to withdraw the formal notice.

The ExCo endorsed the CRC recommendation, and the compliance procedure has therefore been closed.
