WADA seeks candidates to fill 2027 Standing Committee member vacancies

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is seeking candidates to fill upcoming vacant positions on its Standing Committees for 2027. This call applies to the following three Committees:
WADA’s Standing Committees, which report to WADA’s Executive Committee (ExCo), play a key advisory role for the Agency in anti-doping policy and priority development. The successful candidates will be submitted for approval to the ExCo at their meeting on 25 November 2026 and take office on 1 January 2027 for three-year terms. Considering the need for relevant expertise and experience, WADA seeks to ensure that, collectively, the members of the Standing Committees are diverse in terms of region, gender, and culture.
The Terms of Reference (ToR) linked below outline the scope of work and functioning of the respective Standing Committees:

How to submit an application
To be considered, all applications must include the following:
1. A maximum one-page cover (motivational) letter, expressing the candidate’s reasons for their interest in the position(s);
2. An updated curriculum vitae(2), which fully captures the candidate’s experience and expertise(3);
3. A completed Application Form; and
4. A completed Declaration of Independence Form, confirming that WADA’s Operational and Personal Independence criteria(4) are met.
It is recommended, but not required, that applicants provide a letter of endorsement from a recognized anti-doping stakeholder.

Notes:
(1) The Education Committee will have a fourth vacant position for 2027; however, it will be filled by an athlete representative selected by and from the WADA Athlete Council (AC), in accordance with the WADA Governance Regulations and the AC Terms of Reference.
(2) For purposes of review, evaluation, and approval, candidates consent to the sharing of their curriculum vitae and candidate file (and personal information contained therein) with the WADA Director General, the Chair of the relevant Standing Committee(s), and the ExCo and Foundation Board, in accordance with WADA’s Privacy Policy and Governance Regulations. By submitting their application, candidates confirm that they have read and understood the abovementioned documents and accept their terms.
(3) If the candidate refers to qualifications/certifications in their application, the year(s) of obtention must be included. The candidate must also be able to provide valid evidence of such qualifications/certifications should it be requested by the Chair of the relevant Standing Committee or WADA.
(4) These criteria are set out in the Regulations on Independence in WADA’s Governance Regulations and can be consulted in the Declaration of Independence Form mentioned above.
