Preliminary phase of elections to be launched on 3 July

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to announce that the Agency will be launching the Preliminary Phase of regional elections for 2026 vacancies on its National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) Expert Advisory Group (EAG) on Thursday 3 July 2025.

About the NADO EAG

WADA’s NADO EAG is comprised of ten elected representatives, with two from each of the five regions (Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania). These ten members are responsible for reviewing anti-doping matters that impact NADOs, providing relevant guidance and recommendations to WADA to enhance its collaboration with and development of NADOs globally. The NADO EAG also represents the views of NADOs and brings them forward to WADA’s Foundation Board (Board) by electing their Chair and Vice-Chair who in turn sit on the Board.

Regional Elections for members of NADO Expert Advisory Group

The rules that govern the election process can be found within the Election Procedure, including:

  • criteria for a NADO to be eligible to nominate candidates and vote;
  • criteria for the candidate to be eligible for election;
  • role of an election scrutineer;
  • procedural steps for submission of candidatures;
  • voting procedure; and
  • provisions related to potential infringement of the procedure and protection of personal information.
