REMINDER: This Friday, join WADA in Celebrating Play True Day 2026: "Play True. It Starts with You."
Further to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA’s) release of 24 February, WADA wishes to remind the global anti-doping community that Play True Day 2026 will be celebrated on 17 April 2026 and invite everyone to take part in the digital campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance of clean sport.
The theme “Play True. It Starts with You” highlights the individual responsibility of athletes, coaches and all anti-doping stakeholders to protecting the integrity of sport. Because clean sport does not happen by chance, it happens through everyday choices.
Since its launch in 2014, Play True Day has evolved from a small initiative into a global movement that reaches millions each year.
WADA invites athletes, National and Regional Anti-Doping Organizations, Sports Federations, Governments, Major Event Organizers and all anti-doping stakeholders to pledge their support for “Play True. It Starts with You”.
How to take part:
- Share a post on 17 April to celebrate Play True Day
- Use #PlayTrueDay and tag @wada_ama
- Amplify WADA’s content across your platforms (share and/or like)
We encourage all Anti-Doping Organizations and partners to amplify this message within your networks and mobilize your communities in the lead-up to 17 April.
For those who wish to go further, they can also take part in the #PlayTrueChallenge until 16 April.
For more information, the Play True Day toolkit is available in English, French and Spanish and can be downloaded from WADA’s Play True Day webpage.
Together, let’s make Play True Day 2026 a success by reaffirming that protecting sport begins with each of us.
Play True. It Starts with You.
