The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) would like to remind members of the media and those who wish to attend as observers that 11:59 pm EST on 14 November 2025 is the final deadline to register for the Agency’s sixth World Conference on Doping in Sport, which will be taking place the week of 1-5 December 2025 at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) in Busan, Republic of Korea.

It should be noted that the registration deadline for those interested in attending as a delegate was 24 October 2025. The participation terms and information regarding the categories of Conference participants can be found here

Organized with the generous support of the Korea Anti-Doping Agency and the City of Busan, the World Conference is currently set to convene athletes and representatives from approximately 120 countries of the world from the Sport Movement, Governments, National and Regional Anti-Doping Organizations, laboratories, service providers, researchers, and the media – all that are integral to the mission for doping-free sport.

This edition of the World Conference will engage the anti-doping community in high-level discussion and debate about the World Anti-Doping Program, with a particular focus on approving the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards. The 2027 Code and Standards update process was first launched in September 2023 and has allowed stakeholders to contribute to the improvement of the global anti-doping system. The update process will culminate with the presentation and endorsement of the proposed versions during the Conference; and final approval of the Standards and the Code at a joint meeting of WADA’s Executive Committee and Foundation Board on 5 December.

Registration

The Conference website contains all relevant information regarding the event, including the Conference’s program; goals and objectives; procedures and guidelines; interventions; participation terms; and other practical information.

Important information regarding entry requirements and visa information for international participants

Please note that all international participants must hold a valid passport; and, depending on nationality, will either need to apply for a Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) or a Korean visa before departure. Further details are available on the Visa Information and Support page of the Conference website.

Participants who require a Korean Visa were previously advised to submit their registration no later than 24 October 2025, to facilitate visa issuance by the hosts. Unfortunately, at this stage, Korean visas cannot be guaranteed.

While K-ETAs generally take around three weeks to be issued, participants from K-ETA eligible countries are still encouraged to register as soon as possible to reduce any risk of delay.

For any questions or comments regarding the World Conference, please contact us at worldconference2025@wada-ama.org.

We look forward to welcoming all participants to Busan.
