Specific one-and-a-half-day session planned for athlete representatives
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) wishes to encourage athletes to join WADA’s Annual Symposium, which will be held on Wednesday, 13 March and Thursday, 14 March 2019 in Lausanne Switzerland, as the WADA Athlete Committee hosts, for the first time, a special one-and-a-half-day session for athletes and athlete representatives.
This session will feature speakers, workshops and interactive information sessions dedicated to engaging and educating athletes. Important matters in anti-doping such as athlete representation within the anti-doping movement, the Anti-Doping Charter of Athlete Rights, the Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS), and much more will be covered and discussed.
WADA wishes to encourage all Anti-Doping Organizations to promote this event to their athletes and athlete representatives. Registration can be completed on the Symposium Website by 26 February 2019. The Symposium website contains all relevant information regarding the event, including the draft Agenda, how to register and how to book hotel accommodations.
Please note that once approved, registration fees for athletes will be free.
WADA looks forward to welcoming the athlete community in Lausanne for what promises to be an informative and interactive event.
