WADA partners with CHINADA and USADA to hold Global Education Conference in Beijing

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to announce that, on 24-25 October 2018, it will hold the second WADA Global Education Conference in Beijing, China, which will be hosted by the China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA) in partnership with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
 
Under the theme Innovation, Harmonization and Cooperation, the conference will convene anti-doping researchers and practitioners to examine emerging trends; to contribute to the development of the new International Standard for Education; and, to examine how anti-doping organizations (ADOs) can enhance their education programs, while keeping the athlete at the center of their strategies.
 
As outlined in the Agenda, day one of the conference will address the athlete’s perspective and the Anti-Doping Charter of Athlete Rights; the role of education in anti-doping programs; as well as, include roundtable analysis of the International Standard for Education. Day two will consist of presentations and workshops regarding existing and emerging education materials and programs; and, provide sessions tailored to specific stakeholders.

In terms of participation, a selection of National Anti-Doping Organizations, International Federations, Regional Anti-Doping Organizations, National Olympic Committees and Research Institutions have been asked to propose two delegates per country/organization that will be able to actively participate in the discussion regarding these important areas, which will strengthen the future of the global anti-doping program.
