Registration now open for WADA’s first Global Athlete Forum in Calgary this June

Further to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA’s) media release of 14 March 2018, the Agency is pleased to announce that registration is now open for WADA’s first Global Athlete Forum, hosted by the Canadian Olympic Committee with the support of the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, from 3-5 June 2018 in Calgary, Alberta.

Under the theme ‘The Sport we Want’, the Forum will be an opportunity for athletes to discuss key developments in anti-doping, including current issues and the development of an Anti-Doping Charter of Athlete Rights.

National Anti-Doping Organizations, International Federations, National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, are invited to nominate one athlete to attend the Forum. Limited space is available therefore we encourage them to register their athletes as soon as possible.

WADA and the Agency’s Athlete Committee look forward to welcoming nominated athlete leaders from around the globe for solutions-based discussions regarding one of the most important issues facing sport today.
