WADA Launches Digital-Only Play True Magazine

New look interactive publication available today

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) today launched its new digital-only, interactive Play True magazine.

The new look publication, which replaces the former print and online version, is now available to all supporters of clean sport worldwide through WADA’s website and digital devices including iPhone, iPad and Android.

Every edition of the magazine will include sections on WADA’s main activities: from anti-doping development to athlete outreach, education to compliance, and science to testing. The magazine also includes a new feature, Play True Champion, highlighting an individual that has put their stamp on the clean sport movement. This edition’s Play True Champion features anti-doping whistleblower, Betsy Andreu.

“The new Play True is a publication by clean sport people for clean sport people, which aims to highlight what WADA is doing to promote clean sport, but also the activities of the agency’s numerous partners from across the sport movement and government,” said Play True Editor, Ben Nichols.

“This magazine aims to be of interest not only to those within the anti-doping community, but also those on the periphery who perhaps dip their toes into the world of anti-doping in sport when the topic makes headline news in the mainstream media. Play True will continue to cover the technical areas related to anti-doping and will also aim to highlight the human interest side of clean sport, including the champion figures that make the anti-doping industry what it is today,” he added.

The new digital-only Play True will be released biannually, with the next edition expected in the first half of 2016.
