WADA and CCES partner for Values-Based Education Conference

Please note that as of April 30, 2015 the registration deadline changed to August 21, 2015 (the September 9, 2015 deadline as indicated in the news below is no longer valid).

Ottawa, Canada, 2-3 October 2015

On 2-3 October 2015, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, in partnership with the World Anti-Doping Agency, will hold a values-based education conference in Ottawa, Canada with the purpose of bringing together researchers and experts to examine how anti-doping organizations can enhance education programs to strengthen the global fight against doping in sport.

The first day of the conference will involve an analysis of evidence-based research highlighting the need for substantive education programs, and provide a platform for discussion of how to effectively implement anti-doping educational strategies. The second day will focus on how the research can be used to re-shape the planning, formulation and implementation of values-based education strategies used both nationally and globally.  We will also explore what additional support is required for your educational needs.

Please refer to the agenda for further information.

Our invitation is being extended to two (2) delegates per country/organization from a selection of National Anti-Doping Organizations, International Federations, National Olympic Committees and researchers. We hope a representative from your country/organization will be able to participate in the discussions on these important areas of anti-doping.

Should a delegate be able to attend, we ask that you complete the online registration form no later than September 9, 2015.

We will send you a participation package with logistical details of the conference shortly after this registration deadline.

Please do not hesitate to contact conference@cces.ca, if you have any questions.
