WADA is pleased to announce that the revised World Anti-Doping Code took effect on Thursday 1 January. The Code is the fundamental and universal document upon which the World Anti-Doping Program in sport is based.
The 2015 version is the third iteration of the World Anti-Doping Code, following on from previous Codes that came into effect in 2004 and 2009 respectively.
The revised Code includes a number of important changes to global anti-doping policies, rules and regulations, and will work in conjunction with five International Standards that aim to encourage consistency in anti-doping processes.
WADA will soon publish an updated Q&A on the revised Code online.
