Just four days from now, the world will gather in Sochi, Russia for the XXII Olympic Winter Games.
Throughout the lead up to Sochi 2014, RUSADA (Russian Anti-Doping Agency) has been playing an important role alongside event organizer Sochi 2014 and the IOC, implementing anti-doping policies and educational initiatives, testing programs and training doping control personnel.
During the Games itself, RUSADA will join the IOC and Sochi 2014 in forming a Games Working Group. While Sochi 2014 will be responsible for testing at Olympic venues, RUSADA will perform tests elsewhere under the instruction of the IOC.
In our latest Sochi 2014 edition of Play True magazine, we profile RUSADA’s role (p. 28) as the Games arrive in Russia.
