As part of WADA's ongoing efforts to enhance worldwide anti-doping activities under the World Anti-Doping Code, each of the International Standards undergoes periodic revision for fine-tuning based on consultation with WADA's stakeholders.
The International Standard for Laboratories (ISL) revision process started in December 2009 after the release of the current version 6.0, with an initial revision completed in June 2011. This revision was initiated primarily to update the ISL to reflect the constant endeavor toward further worldwide harmonization of laboratory-related anti-doping rules and activities.
A consultation phase for the ISL is currently underway, and the draft version of the ISL version 6.1 is available online for stakeholder review and comments. The recent changes made to the documents are provided in both clean and track changes mode in order to facilitate the review of the proposed modifications.
Click here to access the documents for consultation, available in the ISL section (in Download Center) of WADA’s Web site. The deadline for feedback is August 19, 2011.
