WADA Welcomes Swiss Federal Court Decision on Danilo Hondo

WADA was informed on January 12 of the decision of the Swiss Federal Court—the Swiss Supreme Court—to dismiss the appeal filed by cyclist Danilo Hondo against the two-year sanction imposed to him by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (and confirmed by the Court of Appeal of Canton de Vaud in Lausanne, Switzerland) for testing positive for the prohibited substance Carphedon.

The award with the grounds has not yet been communicated by the Court. However, this decision means that the athlete is no longer allowed to compete.
