    On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Korea, I am delighted that WADA’s 2025 World Conference on Doping in Sport will be held in Busan, marking the first time this prestigious event takes place in Asia.

    Korea has long been committed to protecting the integrity of sports and promoting the spirit of fair play. As a representative country on the WADA Foundation Board, we have worked closely with the global sports community to strengthen anti-doping policies, ensuring that athletes can compete in a fair and just environment.

    This conference will serve as a crucial opportunity for anti-doping stakeholders worldwide to come together, discuss pressing challenges, explore innovative solutions, and reaffirm our shared commitment to clean sport. Through open discussions and constructive collaboration, I hope this gathering will contribute to the development of a more effective global anti-doping framework.

It is a great honor to host such a meaningful event in Busan, where the city’s beautiful natural landscapes harmonize with its vibrant global urban culture.

    Busan is a well-recognized global sports hub. Building upon our previous successful experiences as the host of major international sporting events, such as the World Cup, the Asian Games, and the World Table Tennis Championships, we have actively been contributing to strengthening international exchanges and unity through sports.

    The World Conference, to be held in Busan, will serve as a vital platform to uphold the true spirit of sport, promote the values of fair competition for future generations, and reaffirm the importance of health and ethics across society. The Busan Metropolitan Government is fully committed to providing all necessary support to ensure the successful hosting of the Conference.

    It is with great pride and honor that the Korea Anti-Doping Agency (KADA) welcomes you to Busan, Republic of Korea, for the first-ever World Conference on Doping in Sport to be held in Asia. This milestone event will gather over 1,500 key stakeholders from around the world, including athletes, government representatives, sports organizations, anti-doping experts, and researchers, to engage in meaningful discussions on the future of clean sport.

    Anti-doping has become more complex and requires continuous adaptation to emerging challenges. The Conference will serve as a vital platform for exchanging knowledge and strengthening global cooperation in anti-doping. Through open dialogue and collaboration, we aim to advance the mission of protecting clean athletes and ensuring the integrity of sport.

Venue and Transportation

The 2025 World Conference on Doping in Sport will be held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO).

Participants arriving by air can fly into Busan’s International Airport, Gimhae International Airport, and take a taxi or other ground transport to the Busan accommodations. Train travel time from Gimhae Airport to the Busan City area is about 50 minutes.

Trains are also available from Seoul to Busan—travel time is about four hours. The Seoul Airport is called the Incheon International Airport. 

When in Busan, public transport is recommended. Please visit the following website for more information.

Participants are encouraged to come to the Conference using public transportation.
