Medical Information to support the decisions of Therapeutic Use Exemption Committees (TUECs) has been developed as part of the World Anti-Doping Program. It is based on the World Anti-Doping Code (Code) and on the International Standard for TUE.
This information should, in particular, be read in conjunction with the principles set out in the International Standard for TUE regarding the granting criteria for TUEs (Article 4.2 to 4.5). Its objective is to guide and assist TUECs in decision making for TUE applications.
These documents must beconsidered as the most widely accepted medical best practice at present. They are not mandatory and have no legal value. They are "living documents." They will be updated as necessary based on the evolution of medical best practice. Pathologies covered at this stage are the most current ones encountered in the TUE field. Other pathologies will be covered as needed.
The experience and knowledge sharing in decision making in the TUE field will help enrich this information over time.
The documents can be found in the Download Center to the right.
